Launch Your IT Career
in Victorian Schools
Join Paragon Technologies as a TSSP Specialist Technician. Flexible hours, local schools, modern tech, and work that actually matters.
Currently hiring in: Metro Melbourne (all areas), Geelong / Surf Coast, Gippsland
What is the TSSP?
The Technical Support to Schools Program is how Victorian Government schools get their IT looked after. The Department of Education works with Paragon Technologies to place skilled technicians into schools — real people, on the ground, keeping the technology running so teachers can teach and students can learn.
For you, it means a stable, rewarding role where you get to work with current technology, build genuine relationships with school communities, and finish your day knowing you made a tangible difference.
Supporting Victorian schools for over 25 years

Why Paragon?
Here's why our technicians choose Paragon, and why they stay.
You're Not a Number
We're a small, Melbourne-based company. You'll know your manager by name, not a ticket number. Got a question? Call us. Need advice? Our senior team has 25+ years of hands-on IT experience and they're genuinely happy to help.
Real Career Development
We invest in your growth because we want you to stick around. Access Microsoft certifications (AZ, SC, AI series), hands-on mentoring from senior engineers, and daily exposure to enterprise platforms like M365, Azure, Entra ID, and Defender.
Work Close to Home
Pick schools near where you live. We'll work with you to build a roster that makes sense for your life, not the other way around. Less commuting, more living.
Flexible Hours
Full-time or part-time — you choose. School hours mean no late nights, no weekends, no on-call rosters at 2am. Perfect if you're a parent, a student, or just someone who values having a life outside work.
Make a Real Difference
You're not racking servers in a windowless data centre. You're in schools, helping teachers and students every day. When the projector works for a class presentation, when a student can access their learning platform — that's you.
Modern Tech, Not Legacy Gear
Our schools run Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and Defender for Endpoint. You'll be working with platforms that are current and relevant — skills that translate well wherever your career takes you next.
What Does a Day Look Like?
No two days are exactly the same, but here's a pretty typical one.
Arrive at Wattleridge Primary
Quick hello to the office staff. Grab a coffee from the staffroom. Check overnight alerts on your laptop — nothing urgent today.
Enrol new laptops into Intune for Year 5
Unbox and enrol a batch of new laptops into Intune for the Year 5 classroom rollout. The teacher is thrilled — her class has been waiting for these.
Interactive whiteboard troubleshooting
A teacher's interactive display isn't connecting before their science lesson. Quick fix — HDMI adapter had come loose. Crisis averted in three minutes.
Lunch break
An actual lunch break. Sit outside, eat your sandwich, check your phone. Nobody's paging you.
Drive to your afternoon school
Ten minutes down the road to your second school. Short drive, local roads, no freeway stress.
Maintenance and support
Check Intune compliance, run Windows updates, and sort out a printer issue that's been bugging the admin team all morning. They're genuinely grateful.
Quick Teams call with your manager
Catch up with your Paragon manager about an upcoming Intune rollout. They share some tips and confirm training resources for you.
Done for the day
Pack up, head home. No overtime, no on-call, no emails at midnight. Your evening is yours.
